Bobby Womack has announced details of a comeback. The Soul legend is set to release his first album in eight years this June and now he’s announced a UK appearance to support it.
Although keeping relatively active - his work with Gorillaz being notable - Womack has stayed quiet on the solo front up until now.
He’ll return this summer with a new album, titled ‘The Bravest Man In The Universe’. Set for release on XL Recordings, the record is co-produced by Damon Albarn and XL’s own Richard Russell. The album’s set for a release on 11th June and 12th June in the UK and US respectively.
Womack will perform at London’s Heaven on 14th June, three days after the LP’s release. Tickets go on sale this Thursday (April 5th) at 9am.
