It’s taken from a new split release with Kevin Devine.

Put those rumours of that fifth Brand New record to one side for a second - Jesse Lacey’s covered R.E.M.. Obviously. It’s taken from Kevin Devine’s Devinyl splits series, which has seen Kev team up with everyone from Tigers Jaw, to Cymbals Eat Guitars, to Meredith Graves. This time around, Jesse and Kevin have both taken on R.E.M. songs, wth the Brand New frontman opting for a stripped-back rendition of the politically charged ‘Bad Day’. Stream it below.A recent email from Brand New’s label confirmed that there’s new material from the whole bunch of ‘em coming this year, too. So that’s exciting.
