Brooklyn band Pill share ‘Hot Glue’

Earlier this year, Brooklyn group Pill put out a self-titled EP on Dull Tools, the label run by Parquet Courts’ Andrew Savage. All forthright chants and raw-as-it-gets delivery, it’s being followed by ‘Hot Glue’, the first half of a new single via Mexican Summer.

What’s evident on ‘Hot Glue’ is in how Pill stick to their own rules. Wild, free sax sections somehow share space alongside the most vicious guitar lines; it’s the sound of smashing concrete slabs against each other until sparks magically fly out.

Ps. Pill have a website with magic gifs and an airhorn noise, if you didn’t love them already.

Pill’s new single is out now via Mexican Summer.
