Caitlin Rose Announces UK Tour Dates

The Nashville singer-songwriter will be this side of the Atlantic promoting new album, ‘The Stand In’.

Caitlin Rose is set to release her second album this Spring. The Nashville singer-songwriter will issue ‘The Stand In’, the follow-up to her 2010 debut ‘Own Side Now’, via Names Records on 25th February.

The album was recorded with Caitlin’s bandmates - Jeremy Fetzer and Spencer Cullum - and local producers and musicians Jordan Lehning and Skylar Wilson, with a couple of tracks written in collaboration with The Jayhawks’ Gary Louris.

Caitlin explains, via a press release. “Gary and I got on like bandits,” she grins. “Collaboration is supposed to be fun, if it’s not you should just stick to writing by yourself. It often brings out the best in me, though.”

There’s also two covers on the record - The Deep Vibrations’ ‘I Was Cruel’, and ‘Dallas’, by the Felice Brothers.

Caitlin and band will be returning to the UK next month in support of the release - adding a series of nationwide gigs in addition to the two previously-announced (and sold-out) London appearances.

Shows at the capital’s Dingwalls and Brixton Windmill are joined by those in Brighton, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow, as well as an in-store appearance at Rough Trade East.
