Carrie Brownstein to release autobiography this year
Sleater-Kinney member’s memoir will hit shelves this Autumn.
With the forthcoming ‘No Cities To Love’ marking the return of Sleater-Kinney after an almost decade-long hiatus, guitarist Carrie Brownstein has recently announced plans to release her memoir.
The currently untitled book, which will document Brownstein’s formative years and creative genesis, is said mainly to focus on her life as part of one of the ‘90s most iconic alternative bands, ending around the time of Sleater-Kinney’s hiatus and featuring little mention of her comedy series ‘Portlandia’. A concrete release date is yet to be revealed.
Said to have spent studio time with 2014 DIY list-topper St. Vincent at the back end of last year, Brownstein will now turn her attention back to her dayjob band, who release ‘No Cities To Love’ on 19th January ahead of making a small trip to the UK in March. Catch these tour dates below.
