Cat Burns celebrates women with playfully sapphic new single ‘GIRLS!’

Cat Burns has kick-started her musical year with the release of new track ‘GIRLS!’ - a funk-flecked earworm of a song that pays homage to the diverse excellence of women. 

“GIRLS! is my love letter to women – a tribute to their magic and everything that makes them extraordinary,” she has commented. “I love women and I wanted to create a song that truly celebrates them in a way that’s fun, flirty and full of good energy.” 

The arrival of ‘GIRLS!’ follows a string of magnetic releases from Cat, including her recent cover of Wheatus’ iconic ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ and her heartfelt Rachel Chinouriri collab, ‘Even’ - both of which followed in the footsteps of Cat’s Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut album, ‘early twenties’.
