Cat Burns previews second album with latest single ‘Please Don’t Hate Me’
The singer - and now Celebrity Traitors star - is dropping her new record on Halloween.

She may now be a familiar face on our screens thanks to the new series of Celebrity Traitors, but Cat Burns is also gearing up to release her sophomore LP ‘How To Be Human’ (out on 31st October via Since ‘93/RCA), and has just shared a heartfelt new track called ‘Please Don’t Hate Me’.
The third single to be lifted from the album - following ‘GIRLS!’ and ‘All This Love’ - ‘Please Don’t Hate Me’ is a tender ode to moving on from a relationship with mutual love and respect, wishing happiness on a past lover rather than revenge.
“How to be Human’ is about the last year of my life,” Cat has explained of her new 16-track project (the follow up to her 2024 Mercury Prize shortlisted debut ‘early twenties’). “I experienced the death of a loved one and my first relationship heartbreak at the same time and genuinely had no idea how I would get through the situation.”
She continues: “making this album was my introspective and neurodivergent way of navigating heartbreak and the loss of my Grandad who I was extremely close to - it’s my comfort album. While making it I realised how many people it could help, I know there are so many people going through similar struggles. I hope it provides them some comfort too and shows how you can pick yourself back up.”
