Charlie Simpson Announces New Album ‘Long Road Home’

The ex-Fightstar frontman will be releasing his second solo offering on 14th July.

Charlie Simpson has announced plans to follow-up his 2011 solo debut ‘Young Pilgrim’ with a brand new album.

The ex-Fightstar frontman will be releasing his second solo offering, entitled ‘Long Road Home’, on 14th July through Nusic Sounds and ADA, before playing his largest ever headline show at London’s Roundhouse later this year.

Having begun work on the record back in 2012 after a short break, his latest work boasts some rather humble beginnings: ‘I came back home pretty drunk one night and I started recording this song,’ Simpson says in a press release. ‘I don’t really remember it. But I woke up in the morning and was like, wow, that’s really good. And that slowly eased me back into it.”

The eleven-track record is also headed up by new track ‘Winter Hymns’; hear the first track to be revealed from the record below.
