Childish Gambino gets soulful on new track ‘Redbone’
It’s the second track taken from ‘Awaken, My Love!’.
Less than two weeks after he announced that he’d be releasing his new album ‘Awaken, My Love!’ Childish Gambino has given us a second taste of what to expect in the form of ‘Redbone.’
Much like ‘Me And Your Mama,’ ‘Redbone’ sees Donald Glover moving away from the indie-rap of 2013’s ‘Because the Internet’ and treading into funk territory. It’s a 70s-inspired jam with a distinctly soulful edge that’s like a meeting between Funkadelic and Erykah Badu.
