Christine and The Queens raps ‘Panda’ in French

Her take on Desiigner is bloody amazing.

Following a performance last weekend that pretty much floored the whole of Glastonbury, Christine and The Queens stopped by Julie Adenuga’s Beats 1 show for a catch up. On the episode she spontaneously rapped ‘Panda’ by Desiigner. In French.

Oui, really. And it’s bloody amazing. “You just gave me a desire that’s burning, right now,” Christine and The Queens tells Julie Adenuga. “I should do a cover in French, it’s quite cool. That’s a challenge, you know rapping, I’ve been tiptoeing around it. I’m really fascinated by it, I did a terrible rap like right now, but I actually sometimes practice because I love rap battles”

Elsewhere on the show, she discusses her breakthrough debut ‘Chaleur Humaine’ and her plans for album number two. “I’ve been working on new stuff,” she revealed. “I’m a compulsive writer, I just have to write to have a good day. I have songs under my belt.”

Listen to her ridiculously French cover of ‘Panda’ below.
