Déjà vu
Christopher Owens has formed a band called Curls
It’s actually the second time he’s formed a band with the name.
Christopher Owens released his third solo album ‘Chrissybaby Forever’ last year, but he’s now announced that he’s formed a new band called Curls.
The former member of Girls revealed that he’d been working with “crack musicians” and “solid dudes” Cody Rhodes and Luke Bacé via Twitter, saying that it’s the first time he’s “actually forming a real band” since moving to San Francisco.
Does the name seem a bit familiar? Well that might be because it’s actually the second time that Christopher has formed a band with the name Curls. Way back in 2005, he started a band with the same name with his then-girlfriend Liza. After they broke up, he took the songs they’d written together, altered the lyrics and recorded them as Girls. You more you know, eh?
