Circa Waves channel Italian horror in their ‘Fire That Burns’ video
Kieran Shudall plays a serial killer opposite ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Isaac Hempstead Wright.
Fancy watching ‘Il Fuoco Che Brucia’? What do you mean you’ve not heard of it? It’s only the new video from Circa Waves!
Still setting out to prove that they’re ‘Different Creatures’ from before (geddit, because that’s the title of their upcoming album), the new video for ‘Fire That Burns’ casts lead singer Kieran Shudall as a sinister villain committing a string of grisly murders in an Italian horror B-movie. While the atmosphere might be B-grade, they happen to have bagged some A-list support for this one. Kieran is joined by Isaac Hempstead Wright, aka Bran Stark from ‘Game of Thrones’.
Kieran said in a statement: “When someone offered me the chance to be a serial killer in an Italian b-movie it was hard to resist…. I messaged Isaac from Game of Thrones on Twitter to see if he would be one of my victims and by some weird twist of fate it turned out he was a big fan of the band and agreed. It was great to do something away from your standard performance video and incorporate some early hammer house of horror into the song, it’s a monster!” You can say that again.
