Cloud Nothings And Wavves’ Collaborative Album Is Definitely Happening

Initial rumours started spilling out about a potential collaborative album between Wavves’ Nathan Williams and Cloud Nothings’ Dylan Baldi. Turns out this isn’t nonsense. The pair have been working together for the past ten days, and they’ve been productive.

Dylan previously spoke about discussing the makings of the project with Nathan. He promised to go to California in March. And it’s happened.

Talking to Exclaim, he now says the album’s ‘almost done’. Eight good songs have been recorded.

Staying laidback about the whole thing, he went on to describe a potential release process: ‘I think they’ll be out there somewhere. We have to do something with them. Working with him has been super easy. Everything we do is like — I’ll play something and he’ll be like, ‘That’s cool,’ and then he’ll play something and I’ll be like, ‘That’s cool, too.’ There’s never any kind of butting heads. It’s easy.”

Expect angsty rock with cats.
