Coldplay are releasing a new EP next year

Rumours have been rife about Coldplay calling it a day, but the group are still busy working on new music.

Posting on Twitter, Chris Martin confirmed that they’re “working on some new songs for next year,” adding: “It’s called the Kaleidoscope ep. We hope you’re well, love cm.”

The EP is set to be led by ‘Kaleidescope’, a track from last year’s LP ‘A Head Full of Dreams’. Chris Martin recently claimed said full-length could be their final “conventional” release, telling Beats 1’s Zane Lowe: “I don’t think we’d split up as a band, so hopefully we’ll try to work out something to do at some point. But also part of me right now just feels like yeah seven albums, that’s great and they form a kind of circle and they all make sense to me now and I feel really proud of them.”

Coldplay see out 2016 with a stadium tour, which continues in summer 2017. Dates below.
