Looks like Coldplay are set to headline Glastonbury 2016

They announced their return with a new album and a new single this morning, and now it looks like Coldplay are set to follow it up with a Glastonbury headline slot.

Speaking to Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show, the band answered Grimmy’s line of questioning with a very evasive “We’d love to do it.”

“That’s our spiritual home, as a band,” said frontman Chris Martin. “Maybe we should have called ahead and asked them…”

The band were revealed to be favourites to headline - alongside the returning Stone Roses - earlier this week. Looks like those odds are about the get a whole lot shorter.

Coldplay’s new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ will be released on December 4th. For more details and to hear their new single ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’, head here.
