Coldplay preview new songs from ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ live

This weekend saw Coldplay perform a handful of new songs from new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ live for the first time.

Taking to the stage in L.A., the band performed the album’s title-track, along with ‘Up&Up’ and ‘Amazing Day’ at the TiDAL streamed gig - footage of the three can be found below. The album’s set for release next Friday (December 4th) via Parlophone / Atlantic, rounding off what’s been a frankly mental last quarter of 2015 for massive releases. We’re gonna need a right old lie down by Christmas.

In addition to the new tracks, it’s been revealed that Barack Obama, as in actual Barack Obama, as in President Of The United States Of America Barack Obama, appears on ‘A Head Full Of Dreams” title-track. Taken from the funeral of the Charleston shooting victim Clementa C. Pinckney, Chris Martin told The Sun: “We have a tiny clip of the president singing ‘Amazing Grace’ at that church. Because of the historical significance of what he did and also that song being about, ‘I’m lost but now I’m found’.”

Last week, Coldplay announced a world tour - dates for that are as follows. No word yet on the heavily-circulated rumours that they’re headlining Glastonbury next year, mind.
