Courting drop textured new 'Lust For Life...' single 'After You'

Liverpool four-piece Courting have started the year by sharing ‘After You’, the second single to be lifted from their forthcoming third album (due to hit shelves on 14th March via Lower Third).

Entitled ‘Lust for Life, Or: ‘How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story” (try saying that five times fast), the band’s new LP was first introduced back in November with lead track ‘Pause At You’. Where that number fizzed with dance-punk sensibilities, ‘After You’ showcases a slightly different side to the record - one that’s darker and more layered, but just as immediate.

Explaining more about their newest offering, vocalist Sean Murphy-O’Neill has said that “‘After You’ was the first song that we wrote for ‘Lust for Life’. It is an exercise in direct songwriting, an attempt to create something very straightforward. We wanted the wall of guitars and the drums to feel almost hypnotic.”

Continuing, he has shared: “A lot of the album is about the idea of duality, and lyrically - the song can be read in either a stalkerish voice or a romantic voice. It’s all up to you.”

Dig into the monochromatic visual world of ‘After You’ below.
