Courtney Barnett announces new LP ‘Creature Of Habit’ with Waxahatchee collab ‘Site Unseen’
The Aussie fave’s fourth outing will land on 27th March.

Courtney Barnett has confirmed that her next album - entitled ‘Creature Of Habit’ - will be arriving on 27th March via Fiction Records, and has officially launched this new chapter by teaming up with Waxahatchee for its lead single, ‘Site Unseen’.
“I tried 3 separate times over 2 years to track this song, and each time it either wasn’t finished or didn’t sound right and each time we had to start again,” Courtney has said, explaining how their collaboration came about. “I kept hearing this really high harmony in my head, so for the fourth and final version, I asked Katie if she’d be into singing it with me.”
The follow up proper to 2021’s ‘Things Take Time, Take Time’ (aside from Courtney’s 2023 instrumental album ‘End Of The Day’, which soundtracked her auto-documentary film Anonymous Club), ‘Creature Of Habit’ finds the Australian auteur channelling the uncertainty of her recent personal and professional life - namely, relocating to LA and bidding farewell to her label Milk! Records - into a ten-track testament to evolution and adaptability.
