Daft Punk to flog action figures for £100 a pop
The French duo are charging a small fortune for the robot figurines.
Daft Punk have turned themselves into action figures, which they’re going to flog for 21,600 Japanese Yen. That’s around £100.
A collaboration between Medicom Toy and the French duo’s merch company Daft Lite, the figures go on sale in March 2016. The dolls will be wearing the same white get-up that Daft Punk wore to perform of ‘Get Lucky’ with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder at the Grammys last year.
Daft Punk action-figurified themselves again two years ago, selling six-inch tall replicas of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. They recently expanded their merch game out into the frisbee and yo-yo markets.
Watch Daft Punk - the real ones, not figurine replicas - perform ‘Get Lucky’ below.
