‘Daft Punk Unchained’ documentary trailer airs, featuring Kanye West and Nile Rodgers
The film will be released by BBC Worldwide France at some point this year.
A trailer for the new Daft Punk documentary, ‘Daft Punk Unchained,’ has aired for the first time. Created by BBC Worldwide France, the film previously screened back in June on the French channel Canal+. Now the English version of the film is on the way. The documentary features appearances from the likes of Kanye West, Pharrell, Giorgio Moroder, and Nile Rodgers. ‘Tron: Legacy’ soundtrack collaborator Joseph Trapanese also wrote original music for the doc.
Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, the film features interviews with prolific Daft Punk collaborators, along with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo themselves. Kanye West makes an appearance in the new trailer, asking “who revolutionised dance music the most? People say, Daft Punk.” Nile Rodgers pops up to play his instantly recognisable ‘Get Lucky’ riff, and Pharrell Williams adds, “they’re robots.”
