In Blume
Danish dreamers Blaue Blume preview debut album with ‘Candy’
Exciting new group play this year’s Great Escape, in Brighton.

Denmark group Blaue Blume have confirmed plans to release their debut album this year. They’re leading it with ‘Candy’, a gorgeous, cotton-coated new single.
Like everything else in the band’s locker, it’s defined by sounding like very little else on the planet. Guitar lines spiral off and dance into the distance like, and everything’s delivered with a love/hate falsetto that sets the Copenhagen group apart from a dense crowd. Some might label it overly complex or showy, but pulling off the unthinkable seems to be Blaue Blume’s default mode.
The new song follows on from last year’s ‘Beau & Lorette’ EP, led by the brilliant ‘In Disco Lights’.
Blaue Blume will play the Paganini Ballroom at Brighton’s The Great Escape, 15th May.
