Day two of Blink-182’s (not so) internal drama brings Tom DeLonge statement, plus more from Mark Hoppus

Day two of Blink-gate rolls over the horizon, and still things are fizzing like a post-hangover soluble painkiller in a glass of stale water.

A short recap (if you want a longer one, head here). Yesterday, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker announced founding member Tom DeLonge was out of the band. DeLonge later stated he “never quit”, but Hoppus and Barker gave an interview with Rolling Stone stating why they’d taken the action - it wasn’t pretty.

DeLonge followed up with a tweet-and-delete jibe about previously trying to get rid of Barker. Everything was one holy mess.

With distance, things seem to be calming down a little bit - but not completely. It’s evident that Tom DeLonge is not going to be part of Blink-182. Here’s what’s going on now.
