Death Grips’ ‘Jenny Death’ is out next week

Harvest Records lists a 17th March release for the group’s will-they-won’t-they LP.

Death Grips have been teasing their new, potentially final LP, ‘Jenny Death’, since last October. Now the enigmatic outfit’s album appears to have an official release date - 17th March.

Harvest Records lists the release on its official site. ‘Jenny Death’ will accompany ‘Niggas on the Moon’ in forming ‘The Powers That B’, a double-album could (and let’s face it, nobody quite knows with Death Grips) close out the group’s career.

Back in July 2014, Death Grips announced their split in the form of a hand-written note.

The note read: “We are now at our best and so Death Grips is over. We have officially stopped. All currently scheduled live dates are canceled. Our upcoming double album the powers that b will still be delivered worldwide later this year via Harvest/Third Worlds Records. Death Grips was and always has been a conceptual art exhibition anchored by sound and vision. Above and beyond a “band”. To our truest fans, please stay legend.”

Catch up with DIY’s non-obituary to the band: The bombastic, ridiculous self-destruction of Death Grips.

‘Inanimate Sensation’ will feature on the record. Listen to that below the album’s tracklist.
