Disclosure confirm Sam Smith and Lorde collaborations for their new album
‘Caracal’ features huge names alongside Nao and Lion Babe.
Disclosure have confirmed that their second album ‘Caracal’ will feature collaborations with both Sam Smith and Lorde.
Smith - who worked with the duo on their breakthrough hit ‘Latch’ and hinted at a collab with a face-embellished profile picture - will link up on the title-track for the new LP.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Howard Lawrence says of the collaboration: “It was really exciting, ‘cause we hadn’t seen him in so long. We had three whole days to hang out with Sam and write, which are two of my favourite things to do.”
A track co-written with Lorde is also set to feature on the release. “She turned up on her own, no management or bodyguard,” says Howard. “That’s the most equal collaboration on the record. You can really hear her sound — she has this sassy yet vulnerable thing.”
They’ve also confirmed that Howard will sing lead on another track, ‘Jaded’. Previously announced collabs include Kwabs, Lion Babe and Nao.
‘Caracal’ is released on 25th September.
