DIY Presents: Forests Swords, The Deaf Institute, Manchester

DIY and Now Wave are teaming up to host a show with the experimental, ‘Engravings’ producer.

By the beginning of February 2014, red noses and winter gear will seem commonplace. Everybody will be permanently freezing beings, trudging through icy conditions like it’s no big deal. It’ll be a perfect fit for the sound of Forest Swords’ brilliant new ‘Engravings’ record coming to life.

DIY & NOW WAVE are teaming up for a special show at Manchester’s The Deaf Institute, where Tri Angle signing Matthew Barnes will be playing his acclaimed 2013 full-length. DIY’s review calls the album ‘electronic mastery at its finest’. But there’s also a dark, creeping undercurrent; one that’ll transfer to a terrifying live show.

The show takes place on Saturday 8th February. Advance tickets are priced at £10.50, available from Ticketline, Seetickets and Manchester’s Piccadilly Records.

Support for the show comes from Gnod. Doors open at 7pm.
