DIY Presents… Coves Throw An EP Launch Party

Next week is going to be a busy one for sure, as we’ve unveiled yet another show for you fine people.

A bunch of us will be heading down to that loveable East-end sweatbox, more fondly known as Power Lunches, next week to witness the glorious Coves celebrate the launch of their brand new EP ‘Cast A Shadow’ on Tuesday evening.

Want to know more? Of course you do. Well, She’s So Rad will also be joining the bill, and here’s a little insight from Cross Key Records as to how they hooked the pair of bands up:

“I went to New Zealand at Easter on holiday and the first thing I did on arrival was try to find some cool, new kiwi music at the record stores Real Groovy and Conch in Auckland. The guy in Conch recommended She’s So Rad as I said I liked shoegazey grungey stuff.

“I bought it and when I got home to the UK I tweeted about how much I liked it. Jeremy from the band tweeted back and told me they were coming to the UK to support Ladyhawke. Within five minutes and just four tweets across the world and back we’d agreed they should play with Coves for the EP launch. I wish booking all bands was that easy!”

Oh, and Modern Borders will be joining in the fun as well. Sounds like a good deal? Too right.
