DIY Weekly, 10th February 2014 - Feat. Temples, Katy B, Cheatahs & More
Temples head up DIY’s Weekly edition, free online and on iPad.

DIY’s free-to-read (online and on iPad) Weekly edition has the mighty Temples on the cover. Releasing their ‘Sun Structures’ debut this week, their assault on 2014 begins now, with festival season just around the corner, ready for the taking.
In this week’s cover feature, we speak to James Bagshaw and co. about the “droughts in guitar music”, and the pride that matched up with this debut album. There’s no doubt they’re the best band to come out of Kettering since, erm…
Also in the new Weekly, Chino Moreno (of Deftones) gives reason to his Crosses (†††) project, explaining why - and how - he’s taking advantage of the current musical climate.
There’s also Cheatahs, a band never subject to scenes or tardy trends. Their new full-length on Wichita puts people in their place, proving there’s life in the old punk dog yet.
In News, we get the first word from Fear of Men about their newly announced debut album ‘Loom’, as Jessica Weiss discusses the years that went into its making.
We’ve first word from Prince’s surprise London shows, a report from our free The Fix night at London Social, plus recommended tracks by The Wytches and Beck.
In Neu, new music recommendations arrive from LA’s Lolawolf and New Zealand brother-sister duo Broods.
Reviews puts its focus on Katy B, Temples, Halls, Fanfarlo, Let’s Wrestle, Crosses, Cheatahs and Keel Her. Plus there’s all the fallout from Foals’ hometown Oxford show and Phoenix’s arrival at Brixton Academy.
