DIY Weekly, 5th August 2013 - Out Now Feat. White Lies, Annie & More
A spruced up Weekly is available for just 69p over the next seven days.
DIY Weekly looks, reads and feels a whole lot different this time round. Download the latest instalment of DIY’s tablet and smartphone edition and you’ll get quite the surprise.
From visual musings on George from AlunaGeorge’s whereabouts, to getting word from Swim Deep on how ‘unicorn piss’ is a vital ingredient on their debut album, there’s a new direction (shove it, Harry Styles) to how Weekly works. A swagger. A nicer hair cut. DIY is on the prowl.
There’s plenty packed into the first of many newly-crafted Weeklies, from the design to the bad jokes. Cover stars White Lies go prime time, confidence ahoy for their new record ‘BIG TV’, which they clearly can’t shut up about.
There’s also Annie - the should-be biggest popstar in the world who’s still yet to receive her just rewards. Getting on for a decade since her first album, she’s here to prove the planet’s still for her taking.
Elsewhere, something gets lost in translation (or at least we pray that’s the case) when Aussies Pond declare how they’ve ‘never been so jizzed up in my life!’. We’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Spruced up News and Neu sections bring you the best in new music happenings. We also smuggle Summer Camp into the DIY bunker, as we tip you off about why you should be Very Excited Indeed about their new record.
It’s a big deal, this. So we’re giving it to as many people as possible. This week’s edition will be priced at 69p for the next seven days. Get your hands on a free teaser version too, if you’re still not convinced.
The tablet version is available right now. If you’re an iPhone user, you’ll have to wait a little while longer, while we straighten out a few kinks - but be assured, your shiny new DIY Weekly will be with you very shortly.
On top of all that, we’ve dropped the price you’ll pay for future issues to £1.49. And if you want to delve into the archive, all issues more than a month old will be available for 69p each.
