Django Django reveal ‘First Light’
The new single arrives ahead of the band’s hotly-awaited second record.
Edinburgh-born and London-based, Django Django’s self-titled album of 2012 caught everyone’s ears by suprise. Lately, though, the band have been quietly squirreled away in the studio, and the last real peep came in the shape of a teaser video last weekend, which showed lots of blank white label records getting the stamp treatment.
Now Django Django really are back. Brand new track ‘First Light’ stomps into view, channeling Ultravox and New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’ through its massive bass-line, and stomping 4/4. The single comes ahead of the bands second album, which is currently recieving finishing touches. Django Django’s second album is pencilled in for a release in Spring this year.
