Django Django release new video for album track ‘Slipstream’

They’ve also announced plans for a UK and European tour this autumn.

Art rock outfit Django Django have today shared a new video for ‘Slipstream’, one of the tracks from latest album ‘Off Planet’. Released over a period of months via a series of EPs - each labelled ‘Off Planet’ parts 1-4 - the full album arrived last month.

Directed by Daniel Nellis, the ‘Slipstream’ video sees lead vocalist Vincent Neff kitted out for the velodrome, cycling through a parallel universe as he increasingly loses touch with his surroundings. Explaining the inspirations behind the video, the band comment: “The lyrics are a bit of an ode to watching the Tour de France with Pete Shelley’s signature track playing as a kid. We thought it would be fun to build upon that with the video, which sees Vinny being put through his paces, ramping up in speed until he breaks beyond reality”.

The video arrives just after the band’s recent announcement of a headline UK and European tour; catch them this autumn on the dates below.
