Class of 2020!
Do Nothing, Talk Show & Walt Disco to play DIY’s Class of 2020 launch show!
We’ll be celebrating the launch of our new issue with a free show at House of Vans London.
The weather’s getting colder and Christmas is drawing closer, which can mean only thing: it’s nearly time for us to reveal our Class of 2020!
Every December, DIY announces its annual Class of: our pick of new artists who have been tip-toeing towards the big time that we believe are destined for greatness over the forthcoming 12 months.
Need a refresher? Last year’s Class of featured the likes of Sports Team, Amyl and the Sniffers and King Princess, as well as two of 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize-shortlisted acts, slowthai and Fontaines DC, no big deal. And after the rather riotous launch we held at the House of Vans London twelve months ago, we’re doing it all over again!
The full Class of 2020 list won’t be revealed until Friday 6th December, when we launch our bumper issue, but now we can reveal the three acts who’ll be helping us get the party started…
The mighty Do Nothing and brilliant Talk Show will be co-headlining this year’s launch show, alongside the slick Scots in Walt Disco and London-based, BIMM alumni Luna Bay.
They’ll be taking to the stage on Friday 6th December and tickets are free (!) All you need to do is head to houseofvanslondon.com to claim your spot. Entrance is on a first come, first served basis. What’re you waiting for?!
