Dry Cleaning announce anticipated third album ‘Secret Love’
The South London cult favourites have also offered up its first single, ‘Hit My Head All Day’.

Dry Cleaning are back, having just confirmed that their third studio album, ‘Secret Love’, will be arriving in the new year (on 9th January, to be precise) via 4AD.
It’ll be the South London band’s first LP in three years - the follow up to 2022’s ‘Stumpwork’ - and was crafted between Peckham, Chicago, Dublin, and the Loire Valley, where none other than Cate Le Bon helmed the mixing desk. “Being in a room with them and hearing that vitality and life force that exists between them all, it’s such a unique expression,” Cate has said, describing her experience producing for Dry Cleaning.
Introducing ‘Secret Love’ to the world is lead single and opener ‘Hit My Head All Day’ (out now), which explores (mis)trust via scratchy guitars, airy synths, and a subtly funk-flecked bassline. “The song is about manipulation of the body and mind,” frontperson Florence Shaw has explained. “The lyrics were initially inspired by the use of misinformation on social media by the far right.”
Continuing, she notes: “There are powerful people that seek to influence our behaviour for their own gain; to buy certain things, to vote a certain way. I find it hard to read people’s intentions and decide who to trust, even in everyday life. It’s easy to fall under the influence of a sinister stranger who seems like a friend.
What’s more, Dry Cleaning are planning to celebrate the release of ‘Secret Love’ with their biggest headline show to date - a hometown turn at London’s iconic Brixton Academy on 22nd April 2026.
Tickets will be available from Wednesday 1st October via presale (to fans who have pre-ordered the album), while general sale will open on Friday 3rd October. Find out more here, and watch the video for ‘Hit My Head All Day’ below.
