Dry Cleaning drop wry new single ‘Cruise Ship Designer’
Their third album, ‘Secret Love’, is due to arrive in the new year.

Dry Cleaning have continued to amp up anticipation for their new album ‘Secret Love’ (out on 9th January 2026 via 4AD) with ‘Cruise Ship Designer’, a typically droll pop-adjacent cut that sees vocalist Florence Shaw assume the perspective of - you’ve guessed it - a cruise ship designer trying to find meaning in his career.
Elaborating on the character, she has said: “The song is about a cruise ship and hotel designer who’s skilled and paid well, but who doesn’t believe his role has real worth. He tries to enjoy it, and invests himself in meeting the challenges of the job.”
The track is the second to be lifted from ‘Secret Love’ - following recent release ‘Hit My Head All Day’ - and has also arrived accompanied by a choreographed video that allows the band’s Lewis Maynard to indulge a passion for dance; TikTok, eat your heart out. Check it out here:
