Exclusive: Quickbeam Give Away ‘Immersed’, Preview Album

Glasgow based Quickbeam will release their forthcoming self-titled debut album on 3rd June through Comets & Cartwheels. Before then, they’re giving away their single ‘Immersed’; download it exclusively on DIY.

‘The album is a journey from the details of a single moment to the vastness of a great expanse,’ they tell us. ‘It is the anticipation of a homecoming and a reminiscent farewell to those we have lost. ‘Immersed’ contemplates the clarity and calm that can be found in that single moment.’

The four-piece - Monika Gromek (vocals / harmonium), Andrew Thomson (guitar / vocals / piano), Liam Chapman (drums) and Ruth Campbell (cello) - will be celebrating the launch of the album with an event in the disused Victorian swimming pool of Govanhill Baths, on 31st May.
