Father John Misty shares ‘Pure Country’ version of ‘Pure Comedy’
The title track of Josh Tillman’s latest album has been country-fied.

Father John Misty released his excellent new album ‘Pure Comedy’ back in April, and has now - in typical Josh Tillman style - shared a country-fied version of the song called, yep, ‘Pure Country’.
Political as ever, Tillman wrote in the YouTube description for the song that “Now libs and chuds each have their own version to weaponize.”
Father John Misty is already teasing a follow-up to ‘Pure Comedy’, saying his new album was “pretty much done” back in September.
He’s also heading out on his biggest UK tour to date next month, including two shows at London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith. The man never stops.
View the dates and listen to ‘Pure Country’ below.
