First Aid Kit cover R.E.M.’s ‘Walk Unafraid’ with Peter Buck
The cover is taken from the ‘Wild’ soundtrack.
First Aid Kit have released a video of a new version of their cover of R.E.M. track ‘Walk Unafraid’, with help from the now defunct band’s Peter Buck on guitar.
The Söderberg sisters’ first version of the track was released back in November as part of the soundtrack for new movie ‘Wild’, and has now been given the acoustic treatment.
The ‘Wild’ soundtrack, including the full band version of ‘Walk Unafraid’, is available now - the film, starring Reese Witherspoon, came out in December.
First Aid Kit yesterday received their first Brit Award nomination, up for Best International Group. The band also released a video for new single ‘Master Pretender’ this week, continuing their busy start to 2015.
The band are currently midway through their biggest UK tour to date. Tonight (Jan 16th) they play Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, and the tour ends at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on the 27th.
