First Aid Kit perform ‘My Silver Lining’ on Ellen
The Söderberg sisters bring the ‘Stay Gold’ cut to live TV.
Swedish siblings First Aid Kit recently called into Ellen for a suitably wintry run-through of ‘My Silver Lining’, the glistening opener to their gorgeous third album, which was released earlier this year.
Put simply, the duo completely nailed the performance. Boosted by Ellen’s obvious enthusiasm and the fluttering sounds of a live string section, the Söderberg sisters let their famed harmonies take centre stage and gave an even cleaner and more ethereal sheen to one of ‘Stay Gold’’s undisputed highlights.
Drawing critical admiration for their third album and having recently announced a slot at next year’s Isle of Wight festival, the performance acted as a richly-deserved celebration of the sisters’ most successful twelve months to date.
