Floating Points streams debut album ‘Elaenia’ in full
First full-length is due out next month via Pluto.
Producer Floating Points is streaming his debut album ‘Elaenia’ in full, a week ahead of its 6th November release on Pluto in the UK, Luaka Bop in the U.S.
Sam Shepherd has spent years making his name as one of the country’s most well-known DJs, but ‘Eleania’ is less a culmination of years of work, more a standalone piece that sees him entering a new space. The record is a constant build, from ‘Nespole’’s explorative beginnings to the abrupt, all-enveloping crush of closer ‘Perotation Six’.
Stream Floating Points’ album in full below, via NPR. He’s also announced another London show at Electric Brixton on February 10th following next month’s Islington Hall sell-out - tickets for that are on sale 9am tomorrow.
