Florence and the Machine and Father John Misty perform cover at Coachella Festival
The pair teamed up to play the Everly Brothers’ ‘Love Hurts’ over the weekend
Florence and the Machine and Father John Misty both returned to perform at Coachella Festival’s second weekend on Sunday (19th April), with the latter joining Florence on stage to perform a cover of The Everly Brothers’ ‘Love Hurts’, as pointed out by NME.
Both performed at the festival just over a week ago, with Florence Welch breaking her foot during her performance after jumping off stage during ‘Dog Days Are Over’. Her injury lead to a stripped back set for her second appearance, seated throughout for a 45-minute long set. Following a performance of ‘Only If For A Night’, Welch welcomed Father John Misty on stage, with the pair teaming up to perform the cover.
Fan Footage from the festival shows Florence welcoming him to the crowd, saying: “To make up for my foot being broken and not being able to stand for you, I thought I’d give you something really special. Everybody, this is Father John Misty,” before Josh Tillman arrived onstage to play guitar and dovetail with Welch.
