Flying Lotus promises new Captain Murphy music for 2016

Flying Lotus has confirmed that there will “definitely” be new music next year from his Captain Murphy alias.

Captain Murphy appeared on two songs from Flying Lotus’ 2014 LP ‘You’re Dead’. Stephen Ellison’s been busy on other projects this year, from his WOKE supergroup to his production work on Thundercat’s latest mini-album and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’. He’s also been touring last year’s album, all while scoring a short film. Not exactly the best time to focus on all things Captain Murphy, but it looks like that moment’s around the corner.
