Foals to share new song ‘On The Luna’ tonight
The second preview of LP5 is set to arrive on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show later.

Foals are set to release a second preview of their upcoming fifth album tonight!
As they reveal on Instagram, ‘On The Luna’ is set to get its first play on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show tonight (14th February) from 7.30pm.
The single will follow ‘Exits’ in previewing the first part of new albums ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost’, which is out on 8th March via Warner Bros.
In our track review of the previous single, we called ‘Exits’ the band’s “definitive statement…brilliantly sure in its message and reasserting Foals as a band with plenty to say.”
We spoke to frontman Yannis Philippakis in the new issue of DIY, out now, about the creative peak they’re currently in, and life after departing bassist Walter Gervers, who left the band as work on the album began.
“We physically couldn’t write in the same way anymore because we couldn’t just get in the room and bash everything out with two guitars, keys and bass,” Yannis told us, “so it meant between us it was more fluid. Edwin played bass, I played some bass; I was producing more so I’d sit back in certain ways that maybe I haven’t done before. It lead to this creative peak that I feel like we’re in because we mixed stuff up and shuffled the deck a bit.”
