Foo Fighters stream new track, ‘What Did I Do?/God As My Witness’
Austin, Texas-indebted song is taken from ‘Sonic Highways’.
Foo Fighters are continuing their run of unveiling a new song from forthcoming album ‘Sonic Highways’ every Friday.
Today it’s the turn of ‘What Did I Do?/God As My Witness’, a rollicking, classically-inspired number that was recorded in Austin, Texas. As with every track on ‘Sonic Highways’, the song is directly linked the city, with some lyrics being taken from interviews on the Foos’ documentary of the same name.
Initial episodes from the documentary aired on BBC Four - the remainder are going to be made streamable on iPlayer.
As well as sharing a new track, the Foos recently performed a session at BBC Radio 1’s Maida Vale studios. They debuted a new track, ‘Outside’, which was recorded in California, with a guest spot from The Eagles’ Joe Walsh.
You can listen to both the studio track and Maida Vale session below.
Catch up with previously unveiled tracks, ‘Something From Nothing’, ‘The Feast and the Famine’ and ‘Congregation’.
‘Sonic Highways’ - the band’s eighth studio album - is out 10th November.
