Forest Swords Auctions Special, One Of A Kind Record For Charity

Rare copy of a Forest Swords recording will be destroyed once played.

To assist with helping put a stop to the ongoing struggle in the Philippines, following Typhoon Haiyan, Forest Swords aka Matt Barnes is auctioning off a rare (extremely rare, actually) record on eBay.

All proceeds from the sale of his one-of-a-kind record go towards helping the victims of the Typhoon, as Clash reports.

Forest Swords’ initially put together the release as part of an installation called Ground Rhythms. Once played, the track is destroyed. It’s a piece of music that was cut with a lathe via a diamond tipped needle, tranferred onto a used X-ray. Pictured, right, it’s the only available copy of the recording.

The current bid stands at £45 - get involved on eBay.
