Boys take time
Frank Ocean is “onto something” with his new album, says James Blake
The pair collaborated on Blake’s new LP, ‘The Colour in Anything’.

The past week has seen big-league releases from Drake, Radiohead and more recently James Blake, but Frank Ocean is staying in the shadows.
As another July approaches (come on mate, you said ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ is out in July), clues remain scarce about when the follow-up to ‘Channel Orange’ actually lands.
James Blake has given a couple of hints. Speaking to Pitchfork, he says the new record’s going to be worth the wait, “from what I know.” Like a walking, talking disclaimer, he adds: “It may be subject to change. He is onto something, he really is.”
Both musicians collaborated on two songs from ‘The Colour in Anything’; ‘My Willing Heart’ and ‘Always’. Blake also worked with Bon Iver on ‘I Need a Forest Fire’. The new album’s streaming in full here.
