Frank Turner begins work on sixth album

Frank Turner has announced he is currently working on his sixth studio album, due for release in 2015.

The Winchester-born artist announced via a photo on Instagram that work on his upcoming album began in Nashville on Saturday (6th Dec) with his band The Sleeping Souls and producer Butch Walker, who has produced albums for the likes of Weezer, Taylor Swift and Panic! At The Disco. He also worked on Fall Out Boy’s 2013 comeback album ‘Save Rock and Roll’.

Turner is also set to play XFM’s annual Winter Wonderland show at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on 17th December alongside Billy Bragg, The Horrors and more.

Continuing his strong support of small, independent venues threatened with closure, Turner is also set to play solo shows at Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe and London’s 93 Feet East in January, before embarking on a full-band tour of Australia and New Zealand in April.

He released his fifth album ‘Tape Deck Heart’ in 2013.
