Frank Turner unveils new track ‘Get Better’

The song is the first taste of his Butch Walker produced sixth album.

“Very, very excited to be able to say we’re closing in on finishing my sixth studio album,” said Frank Turner in a Facebook post yesterday before he shared the first track to be taken from it. ‘Get Better’ is every bit as charged and positive as we’ve come to expect from Frank Turner but sees him swap his acoustic guitar for an electric. You can hear the track, alongside a sharpie-heavy lyric video, below.

Details about the album and its lead single are due to be confirmed in the coming weeks but we do know Butch Walker, who has previously worked on Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’ and Fall Out Boy’s ‘Save Rock and Roll’, produced it.

Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls will be headlining the Royal Albert Hall on March 29th in support of Teenage Cancer Trust as the charity put on a week of performances that also include The Who, Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

As well as all that, Turner will also be releasing a collection of tour diaries taking in his journey from the breakup of Million Dead to headlining a sold out Wembley Arena in 2012. ‘The Road Beneath My Feet’ is out on 26th March.
