Future Islands side project The Snails share Christmas song
‘Snails Christmas (I Want a New Shell)’ is taken from a new album.
Future Islands members Samuel T. Herring and William Cashion have been in another band called The Snails since 2008, alongside members of Wing Dam, Nuclear Power Pants & more.
Herring and co. are set to release a new album ‘Songs From The Shoebox’, and it’s being led by a Christmas track called ‘Snails Christmas (I Want A New Shell)’. The slightly tongue-in-cheek song comes with Bandcamp tags “punk”, “reggae” and “saxophone,” so it’s a real rollercoaster ride.
The track follows 2013 album ‘Worth The Wait’. Since then, Future Islands have gone stratospheric, but they’re still finding time for the project.
