Gambles Announces Debut Album, Streams ‘So I Cry Out’ Song

Matthew Siskin aka the acoustic guitar strumming, husky-voiced newcomer Gambles, has announced details of his debut album ‘Trust’.

The end of a marriage destroyed Siskin but helped form the beginnings of the project. He shadows as a creative director for tons of big-name artists (the Olsen twins for starters), which probably helped give his music a footing. Even so, there’s a breathless, intimate charge running through ‘So I Cry Out’, the latest track from his debut.

Painstakingly honest, lines like ‘but if we had made / what we tried to have / that boy or girl / would have been so loved / had a dad’ pierce the surface. It’s one of many, many example of Siskin’s heart-on-sleeve, Dylan-channelling songwriting.

Gambles supports Marques Toliver on the following UK dates: London, Bush Hall (1st October), Brighton, The Haunt (2nd October), Manchester, Deaf Institute (3rd October).
