Giorgio Moroder shares new Adult Swim series track ‘Giorgio’s Theme’
Disco legend is giving away a new track - the series also features Deafheaven and Run The Jewels.
Every summer brings a new Adult Swim series, where exciting artists share exclusive new tracks as free downloads, because summer is the time of good will and occasional spurts of hayfever.
Heading up the 2014 series is none other than disco legend Giorgio Moroder. His entry, ‘Giorgio’s Theme’, links up with all the staples that gave him such a Godlike status in the first place. It builds on from last year’s musical return in Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’. A seven-minute stomper, it cements his status as an actual 73-year-old living genius.
The track’s going to be made available this Monday via Adult Swim. Listen below.
This year’s Adult Swim series runs through until September. Here’s a list of the artists involved, in order of appearance: Giorgio Moroder, Machinedrum, Destruction Unit, Fatima Al-Qadiri, Tim Hecker, Speedy Ortiz, Sleep, Future, Diarrhoea Planet, Oozing Wound, Captain Murphy, Deafheaven, RP Boo, Mastodon (Feat. Gibby Haynes), Run The Jewels, KA.
