GIRLI’s new EP ‘Hot Mess’ is out next month!

Back in May, GIRLI teamed up with Lethal Bizzle on ‘Feel OK’, but if you wanted even more, then you’re in luck: she’s got a new EP on the way!

‘Hot Mess’ is due to be released on 26th September, and while we’re waiting for the full collection, she’s dropped the title track as a taster. It sees her on typically fiery form, pretty much just giving the middle finger to anyone who patronises her and her music.

Speaking of the track, GIRLI said: “Hot Mess is about all the times I’ve been talked down to, patronised, told that I should change my songs, my look, my presentation… just because I’m a woman making music and not a guy”.

She continued: “Women are allowed to be loud, to speak their mind, to wear what they want and not be shamed for it, to be taken seriously whatever makeup they have on their faces or however much of their cleavage is showing. This song is my way of saying that!”
